Overview

Certified Translation Services

Certified translation is the process of converting a document from one language to another with a signed certification from the translator attesting to the accuracy and completeness of the translation. For official use — visa applications, immigration petitions, university admissions, and legal proceedings — a plain translation is not accepted. It must be certified and often notarised to be recognised by the receiving authority.

When Certified Translation Is Required

If your birth certificate is in Hindi, Marathi, or any Indian language and you are applying for a US, UK, Canadian, or Australian visa — the embassy requires an English certified translation. A non-certified translation will be returned without processing.

If you are applying to WES (World Education Services) for credential evaluation — WES mandates that all non-English documents be accompanied by a certified translation. The same applies to IQAS, ICAS, and all other evaluation agencies.

If your marriage certificate is in a regional language and you are sponsoring a spouse's visa to Canada, UK, or Australia — immigration authorities require certified translations before they will process the application.

If you have foreign-language documents (Arabic, French, Spanish) that need to be submitted to any Indian government authority — a certified translation into English or Hindi is required.

If you are involved in legal proceedings and need documents in a language the court does not use — certified translations by authorised translators are mandated before the documents can be admitted as evidence.

### Certified vs Notarised Translation — What You Actually Need

Certified translation: The translator signs a statement certifying the translation is accurate. This is what MEA, embassies, WES, immigration authorities, and most universities require. This covers 90% of use cases.

Notarised translation: The translator signs the certification in the presence of a notary, who then notarises the translator's signature. Some countries (notably Spain, Italy, and certain Latin American nations) and specific document types (legal affidavits, sworn statements) require this additional step.

Sworn translation: Required specifically for legal proceedings in certain jurisdictions. Fewer than 5% of cases need this.

### Languages We Translate

English, Hindi, Arabic, French, German, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, Russian, Chinese (Simplified and Traditional), Japanese, Korean, Urdu, Punjabi, Bengali, Marathi, Gujarati, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada, Odia, Nepali, Burmese, Thai, Vietnamese, Turkish, Persian (Farsi), Dutch, Swedish, Norwegian, Danish, Finnish, Polish, Czech, Hungarian, Romanian, Greek, and 20+ additional languages upon request.

### Our Translation Process

Step 1: A native-language translator with domain-specific expertise translates your document. Medical documents go to healthcare translators. Legal documents to legal specialists. Technical documents to engineers.

Step 2: A second independent translator reviews the translation for accuracy, completeness, and formatting consistency.

Step 3: The final translation is formatted to mirror the original document's layout — important for documents with seals, stamps, and specific formatting requirements.

Step 4: A signed certificate of accuracy is attached, stating the translator's credentials and certifying the translation is true and accurate.

Step 5: If notarisation is required, the translator executes the certification before a registered notary public.

Step 6: If the translated document will be used abroad, we coordinate the complete attestation chain — notarisation, MEA apostille, and embassy legalisation as needed.
